KIDS AWARDED $30,00 TO HELP KIDS

After helping local youth and their families, charity K.I.D.S. Foundation is getting some help of its own. K.I.D.S. Foundation has been awarded $10,000 a year over three years by the Community Grants program to help it continue its work supporting children living with serious injury or burns.

K.I.D.S. Foundation has been committed to supporting the Ballarat local community by providing a mentor program and camp for children experiencing trauma.

The tireless and far reaching impact of the work undertaken by K.I.D.S. Foundation was akey factor in it receiving the grant.

“The Commonwealth Bank is thrilled to be able to support organisations like K.I.D.S. Foundation. The grassroots work these organisations do is crucial to the wellbeing of our communities,”said Ballarat branch manager, SorayaToone.

This year marks the 100th year of the Commonwealth Bank’s employee giving program. The program is one of Australia’s largest and longest running employee fundraising programs.

Since1917, thousands of staff have donated a portion of their salary to support the community. In the past decade alone, their contributions have delivered $20 million to some 1,730 organisations as part of our Community Grants program.

Last year, more than $2 million was donated, $358,482 of which was raised by employees in Victoria.

This year the fund has announced it will award $9 million to 220 youth community organisations across Australia over the course of the next three years.
