The work of Ballarat’s KIDS Foundation has received some security for the future with a donation from the CommBank Foundation. CommBank Foundation’s employee giving program has pledged an amount of$10,000 a year for the next three years to the KIDS Foundation organisation, to aid young people and their families deal with prevention of and recovery from injuries. This particular donation will assist with Big KIDS Buddies, a program for youth recovering from life changing injuries in a camp setting. With past camps hosting around 30-50 children, the program teams them up with mentors and gives them a chance to recover and gain life skills. “This donation enables us to get plans in place for camps for the next three years,” Stakeholder en-gagement manager for KIDS Janine Buesnel said.
